Photo Shoot!!

Below I have two posts of my photography work that I've done for my collection:

The dismantled saddle pictures are some of my favourites due to the detail and colour of the leather. When taking my pictures, I went to a series of locations to gain a broader variety of images for my final project. I used a catwalk model called Camille to portray my collection, so I could gain some perspective on its final outcome.

The research I did prior to the photo shoot was essential in the locations I chose. For example, the styling of Camille's hair and make up had to be multi-funtional should I of chosen to do an indoor or outdoor shoot. This was down to the unpredictable weather of late. Luckily, on the day the weather was great and we got to shoot outside. We went to a number of locations to get the best backgrounds to compliment the outfits.

I've also included the studio work I've done, this shows a dismantled saddle on its transition into becoming part of my collection.

I hope you enjoy my photos.....

Photo Shoot!!

(Saddle piece, with hobble skirt. i really like the surrounding areas as the saddle piece is quite fitting.)

(trying new poses.)

(natural surroundings, with surreal piece.)

(Trying the hat as a prop.)

(I really like this image, the silhouette of the outfit is really nice.)

(some of the surroundings to use)

(Different angles of the outfit.)

(I took this before the shoot for research of where some images would look good.)

(Walking as if on catwalk.)

(This garment isn't what I made but i believe i should create something with fringing as it compliments the other garments.)

(I think the model looks brilliant in this photo, and the lighting works really well.)

(One of my favourite photos taken.)

(with this photo i decided to portray the saddle only so covered the model with underwear and hold up stockings for an extra something.)

(My personal favourite of the three.)

(Saddle with fringing.)

(This is my favourite of these images, I am hoping to use this for my business cards also.)

Future Plans!

Once I have completed my foundation degree, I'm hoping to do internships/work experience to further my career. I think this is the best path for me considering it's such a competitive industry.

I'm looking at different areas of fashion; areas I've not yet learned about to expand my knowledge and skill.

Royal Wedding!

I'm so glad I got to watch the Royal wedding, an iconic piece of history which will define the era.

My excitement was always 'I can't wait to see the dress' and the sheer beauty and elegance of it did not disappoint. I was first of all pleased to hear that the gown was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, as the McQueen fashion house is a huge inspiration to my own work. The Ivory gown with lace applique is simply stunning and perfect for a modern day Princess.

Inspiration!

This image, is really beautiful and is what I would like to portray with my photos.
